Surrounded by oak, pine and blue gum trees, Forelwater strives to revitalize a tired mind and body and is therefore the ideal break away week end. While watching the mist rolling across the dam, enjoy sipping a fine wine with open hearth ablaze on cold misty days.
 
The accommodation at Forelwater is unique and tasteful. Two fully equipped self catering cottages overlook a 12ha dam which is stocked with rainbow trout every 6-8 weeks offering unsurpassed tranquillity and outstanding natural beauty. Each cottage is uniquely private, has its own braai area and is situated on fishing water.

The open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area is perfect with hearty country fare for the self-catering guests. These cottages provide accommodation for 6-8 persons. Both cottages are 3 star graded. Bedrooms have a selection of single and double beds. Each chalet has its own indoor and outdoor braai. All water is borehole water and is totally safe to drink.

Forelwater has been is a favourite venue for Trophy Fishing since 1997. Many experienced and serious fisherman and women return to visit this venue time and again. Forelwater guests are able to fish from the banks, from weirs or from two boats which are supplied, or endless hours can be spent in float tubing.
 
Historic wars were fought here in the era of  the Anglo Boer war in 1899. The nearby Berg en Dal monument can be visited and remains of loopgrawe can be seen all over the farm. The Farm Berg and Dal, the home of Forelwater is a real working farm with grazing Drakensbergers, Merino sheep and green maize Fields. You are welcome to roam freely on the thousand hectares by walking, driving or mountain biking the various roads and paths.
